Ride Summary

This cross country run takes in some of the country’s best riding, through some superb scenery on a 240km ride.

Ride Description

The route leaves from the west coast and travels over mountains and glacial passes, before descending to the valley floor to follow rivers and navigate around lakes. The trail offers some riding at considerable height, and is a mix of difficult twisting turns and long undulating curves to enjoy.

Directions

Leave from Greymouth and head south on the SH6 until you reach the junction with the SH73. Follow this new road east over Arthur’s Pass,through Springfield and Waddington, and into Christchurch.

The rest stop area at Arthur’s Pass is the perfect place to stop for bikers, and offers a place to get refreshments, as well as a superb view to enjoy.
