Ride Summary

If you are up for a great ride – though often burdened by traffic – and a great biker meet-up, then you are on the right track with this ride.

Ride Description

When riding up to Scotland, the A65 is a great alternative to motorways. Enjoy the many brew stops along the way, if possible. The roads are good and are very popular with other bikers. A fun place to meet like-minded folk particularly on the weekends.

Directions

Start in Skipton and follow the A65 towards Kendal, along the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is 73 km to Kendal. Yorkshire and Cumbria are great areas to explore.

Best Thing about This Ride

It has fast sweeps, slow corners and everything in between. The popular Devil’s Bridge is here on the A65, on the road between Skipton and Kendal.

What Else to Look Out For

As with all popular routes, watch your speed as this is a favourite haunt for speed traps and Police.
