MC RiderRide Summary
A great wide road with sweeping bends to take you into a scenic landscape.
Ride Description
Prepare for some stunning sights of the Pennines, then of the wonderful Lake District, as you travel between Brough and Penrith. The road is usually busy, yet good speed is always achieved even among all the traffic. It is a pleasant way to reach the Lake District or Western Scotland.
Directions
Start at Scotch Corner and take the A66 towards Cockermouth. If you have heard of the new A66, then note that this is the old one. Until you get to Brignall, there is a single lane on the road, then you get two stretches (a dual carriageway). After you pass Bowes it gets very fast.
