Ride Summary

A great short stretch of road that winds its way from Inverloch to Cape Paterson along the cliff-tops following the coast.

Ride Description

This is one stretch of road that I always try and ride when I am down that way – typically when the MotoGP is on at Phillip Island. This along with a few other rides in the West Gippsland region always make the effort riding down from Melbourne worthwhile.

This particular road is short, tight in sections and twists its way from the popular coastal town of Inverloch to the more sleepy Cape Paterson.

Directions

This ride begins in the town of Inverloch. Head east out of town along the C435 towards Cape Paterson.

Best Thing About This Ride

Road surface is very good – near perfect and the coast along this stretch of roads is truly beautiful. If you have the time, have a fun runs along the road and then stop at a few of the carparks where beach access is. Well worth seeing.

What Else To Look Out For

Traffic can be a problem on this road in the height of summer. With many carparks peeling off to the left for access to the beaches in this area, be careful of turning cars.
