Ride Summary

This ride is 26 kilometers long, and includes a corner ratio of 60%, with corners that can be taken fast or very fast. One car every ten minutes is the expected rate of traffic. The road surface is smooth and the bitumen grip ranges from good to very grippy.

Ride Description

Running through light eucalyptus growth for most of its length, the ride from Flowerdale to Yea varies between uninteresting straights and very twisty areas that any motorcyclist will enjoy. The road is more open that from Whittlesea to Flowerdale, but the corners have similar radii to those on that route. The best area is a very winding section descending from the hills, where a fine recent tar job has left the road surface extremely grippy, but this is unfortunately followed by 8 kilometers of straight road leading into Yea.

Together with the Flowerdale to Strath Creek ride, this is one of two possible rides that can originate at Flowerdale after arriving from Whittlesea.

Directions

This ride is to be found in Flowerdale, which is reached from Whittlesea.
