Ride Description

Departing Buchan in the direction of Bruthen, the first 34 kilometers are the best for a motorcyclist, with challenging corners, light traffic, and pleasant landscape views. This spot represents the junction with the main road from Bairnesdale to Bruthen, and from this point the road becomes open highway, with dangerous conditions for motorcyclists and massive road work going on. While you are in Buchan, you can also take a guided tours of the interesting limestone caves near the town.

Buchan is sited 63 kilometers north of Lakes Entrance, and is reached by following Princes Highway to Bairnesdale, Nowa Nowa, or Orbost.
