Motorcycle RidesRide Summary
This ride is 72kms or a 152km circuit via Nerang. Beginning in Oxenford, you go north along the Pacific Highway to Coomera and then west to Eagle Heights and North Tamborine. Here you go south to Mount Tamborine, follow the Tamborine Mountain Road (“The Goat Track”) to Canungra then another 36kms to O’Reilly’s Guesthouse in the Lamington National Park (a World Heritage Area).
Ride Description
The ride begins in Oxenford and travels the Pacific Highway through Coomera and west down through Eagle Heights to North Tamborine. Despite the slower cars and delivery vans, it is a terrific ride.
From North Tamborine, you have a real treat as you take the “Goat Track” which will deliver you down to the village of Canungra. This is a prosperous village due most likely to the nearby Army Land Warfare Centre.
From Canungra, you have another pleasant ride for 36 km to O’Reilly’s Guest House in Lamington National Park. The road twists its way between the Darlington and Canungra ranges until it finally climbs the McPherson Range. Once you have arrived at O’Reilly’s there are souvenirs for sale and an exotic bird feeding station. This is a great place to chill until you’re ready to return.
Directions
From Oxenford via the Pacific Hwy, go north, then west to Eagle Heights and North Tamborine. Next, go south to Mt. Tamborine and take the Tamborine Mountain Road (the Goat Track) south to Canungra, and then travel another 36 kms to O’Reilly’s Guesthouse in Lamington National Park. For variety on the return trip, take the alternative track down from Mount Tamborine to Mount Nathan and on to Nerang.

This is more of a cruiser style ride and best enjoyed when not in a hurry. Enjoy the scenery and chill out a little.
