Motorcycle RidesRide Summary
This is a fun 56kms of great riding due to its combination of straights, corners and climbs on good and sometimes not so good road surfaces. The ride begins in Caboolture, 50km north of Brisbane, and heads through D’Aguilar, Woodford, Cedarton, Peachester, and on to Beerwah in the Glass House Mountains.
Ride Description
As you leave Caboolture on the D’Aguilar Hwy to Woodford, the road has some good corners, but a bit of traffic with sparse chances of overtaking. It eases a bit after leaving D’Aguilar, but be cautious crowds around Woodford as this town is very popular with riders and weekend traffic.
The road from Woodford to Beerwah and on to Peachester starts rather plainly, but soon becomes a horse of a different color as it begins to climb the range. Some sharp corners on the way up keep you on your toes as well. Watch out for stray cattle here which sometimes appear on or close by the road.
At Peachester, take a breather at a little service station and general store which is a favorite biker hangout, before you make the descent down to the coastal plain and Beerwah. On this final leg, take a few deep breaths to help you make it around the sharp corners and esses which follow each other without a break all the way down to Beerwah.
Directions
Leave Caboolture on the D’Aguilar Highway, through Woodford to Kilcoy Beerwah Road turnoff to Peachester, and end in Beerwah.

Best Thing About This Ride
The combination of challenges, the wonderful outlook, the (mostly) good road surfaces, and the visit to the general store at Peachester.
What Else To Look Out For
Any stray cattle on or near the road, possible leaf litter on the climb down from Peachester to Beerwah, and traffic, especially around Woodford.
I live at Beerwah and can I suggest once at Beerwah, turning around and back up Peachester range (It’s so much more fun going up) and turning off to Maleny using Kilcoy-Beerwah road. From Maleny onto Kenilworth and just the otherside of Kenilworth using Obi Obi road to return through Mapleton, Flaxton and Montville all nice old style towns with plenty of views of the coast. There’s also a nice little cafe just before Kenilworth owned and operated by a chap that rides a Tiger, and the place is always filled with other motorcyclist to share a yarn with while having lunch.
