Geoff StoneRide Summary
A great days riding crossing some beautiful terrain in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
Ride Description
This ride, although long, is worth the effort. It not only takes you through some nice towns along the way, but you can also see some beautiful views including farms, mountains, creeks and trees. The trip has both winding roiads as well as some good stretches of straights. There are a few places where you can stop for a coffee and burger (or other lunch) including Attunga and Bingara. The road from Narrabri to Bingara crosses a few cause ways so be prepared to slow down or get wet feet especially after rain.
Directions
Depart Attunga and head north to Manilla to start the large circuit:

Best Thing about This Ride
The scenery is worth the ride alone, plus also the mouatin in between narrabri and Bingara where you can test your cornering skills.
What Else to Look Out For
Plenty of kangaroos, especially early morning/eveneing. Please be careful and watch out for these. If you are keen and have time you can detour at narrabri and go to the CSIRO radio telescopes and yarrie lake. Sawn rocks is on route as well as the glaciers for those who like a bit of geology. Depending on the time of year cotton is big in the area as are wheat and canola at other times. Plenty of sheep and catlle as well.
